Ingredients for French Toast Bake
- 8 eggs
- 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (granulated) white sugar
- 1 can of pumpkin puree (15 ounces)
- 1 loaf Texas Toast (thick-sliced bread), cut into 1-inch cubes
- Pam Non-Stick Cooking Spray
Adjust the spices to your preference. For example, if you don’t like ground cloves just omit the spice.
French Toast Crumble Ingredients
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
How To Make Pumpkin French Toast Casserole
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. I like using a Non-Stick Spray.
Step 2
Next, mix the eggs with the vanilla extract, spices, and white sugar in a bowl. Beat in the pumpkin, until fully incorporated.
Step 3
Arrange the bread cubes in a single layer in the prepared baking dish and pour the pumpkin mixture over the bread cubes. Toss to coat the bread cubes.
Step 4 CRUMB TOPPING DIRECTIONS
Stir brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and butter with a fork in a small bowl until the mixture is crumbly; sprinkle over the bread cubes.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven, until golden brown on top. The time to bake the French toast is about 30 to 40 minutes.
Serve French Toast Topped With
- Whip cream or whipped topping
- Maple syrup
- Caramel Sauce
- Powdered sugar
