To make this recipe you will need a few small kitchen tools – A cutting board, a serrated knife, a chef knife, and a large spoon for serving.
Where to Buy Fresh Tomatoes?
Get the tomatoes from a farmer’s market, Target, or grocery store (organic section), or use home-grown. Vine-ripened tomatoes are typically the sweetest and juiciest.
You will find them in the summer months (which makes this the perfect time to make a tomato salad!). However, the timing will vary depending on where you live.

Directions
- Wash, dry, and slice the tomatoes with a serrated knife.
- Wash and chop basil leaves. Keep 3 whole for garnishing.
- Plate the tomatoes, laying them down slightly covering the one before on the plate.
- Drizzle balsamic vinegar and then olive oil over the tomatoes. Lightly salt and pepper them.
- Add the Ricotta cheese to the center of the plate and lightly pepper (optional) the Ricotta cheese.
- Serve and enjoy~

The amount of tomatoes you slice will vary; depending on the size of the tomatoes, and if servings are for adults, adults, and kids.
