Paper-Crafts “Baby” Banner & Puppy Luv
Spring is baby season! Babies being born everywhere! And since my daughter’s due in May I decided to paper-craft a “Baby” banner. Nothing is sweeter than a new born baby. Today I decided to share my paper-crafts baby banner that I made with my Cricut. I am also sharing the newest addition to our family our new puppy! (share your puppy tips with me!) A puppy baby! But, first here’s the baby banner!
This banner is super simple using my affiliate’s products. I used my Cricut cutting machine to cut out the lettering & tags. Then I used some ribbon I had on hand (previously purchased at Michael’s too) and purchased these cute clothes pins at Michaels Craft Stores. I wish they had more of that color! This banner is perfect for the impending babies room-kids room. For over the crib or changing table. The color scheme is this type of pale lime, mossy green since it’s she has the kids sharing a room right now boy/girl.
I am making some more pink/blues. Some I put together with hearts on each end & used a nice cotton string. I’ll share more soon. Until then let me introduce you to our new puppy, baby! Rex.
We had a dog for over 10yr. & he passed away about 6 months ago. We were heart broken but, wanted a little time to pass before committing to a dog and for spring to be here before taking on a puppy. We weren’t even sure if we were up for adding a dog back into the family. Until Sammie met this puppy. He is an Old English Bulldog puppy. Just like any toddler he has his stubborn moments. Not understanding what a leash is all about, or why the cat won’t just play with him!…We just got him this past weekend. Potty training is priority number one! Getting him on a schedule, play, eat, go out and help to tire him so he can sleep all night is number two, and learning to have alone time with no barking……..Oh my gosh! Did I forget?
Just like when you have a newborn you forget how much care and attention a puppy needs. I can say he is getting adjusted rather quickly and so is Jade the cat, along with Monroe the rescue kitten. He wants to play, they tolerate. So far, so good! He is very smart. I can’t believe what he can do just after a few days. I know I will have to crate train him for traveling distances and when we have appointments. We want him to be an indoor dog. Our former dog was both indoor and outdoor but, loved to be in the garage with the Mr. he had a more hyper streak being part terrier. This guy is pretty mellow. He has his vet check tomorrow to make sure he’s good on the wellness track.
Let’ s just say when Sammie is at school I feel like I am running a puppy school and doing more than a few circles. Hence the lack of crafty goodness.{sigh} ( Sammie hates his second photo, but I thought he looked so funny a classic bull dog sit and so baby like ) Kids, grow up so fast and can be so serious, lol. I hope to take some better photos when I have help around. He can be quick when he wants to be or totally refuse to go walk on a leash, stopping dead in his tracks!
Do share your puppy tips with me! Favorite pet food? I’d love to hear what has worked well for you. Speaking of babies. When Krissy’s has her baby I will be going out of town to help at some point.
When was the last time you had a baby (of any kind) around? Have you made any banners lately?
Oh, my gosh, I was loving the banners…thinking there wasn’t anything cuter in the whole world…and then BAM! There’s this adorable English Bulldog puppy!! LOVE! 🙂
So happy to be following you!

Thanks Joy! & he is such a sweetie! Got a good bill of health today at the vets & we are off to a good start with training but, so time consuming! lol
Your puppy is so cute! He’s adorable! Thanks so much for linking up to Inspire Me Wednesday.
Thanks Mel! Just thought you might like to see the banner, but the puppy is stealing the spotlight, lol!
Very nice banner!
But I admit – the dog story is my main subject here 🙂
I grew up with cats and dogs, and I know what you were going through losing your dog. It’s losing a family member
I’m very happy for you that you have a new puppy 🙂
Thanks Winnie, It was hard losing him. I hesitated getting a new dog, but my daughter fell in love & glad she did. We all agreed he was too sweet to pass up.

Hi Camila, Thanks for the visit & the invite. I will try to remember to make it. Yes, he is a cutie! We weren’t planning on right now. But, my daughter kept looking up breeds, visiting pet shops, looking online. She missed having a dog & fell in love. His temperament is amazing, friendly with cats, easy going, smart & picking up things super fast. Hope you get a chance down the road to get another dog too!
Love the banner…..REALLY LOVE the PUPPY! We just got a yellow lab puppy last fall. She is 9 months old now and gets along great with our big 9 YEAR old yellow lab. They are fun.
I would love it if you’d stop by my Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop and add this link! Do you have a moment to do that? My readers will love it.
Pinning right now. 🙂
Thanks Siena, Ah I bet she is adorable. My sister in law has chocolate labs. I’ll try my best to make the party but, did stop by. Hope to see you again soon.
