Carmel California And Hofsas House Hotel Stay
Today, I just thought I’d share a few more photos from our trip to Carmel, CA. It’s hard to believe that summer is flying by and this Carmel trip was almost a month ago. I’m already planning a few more mini-trips this summer.
Since Sammie is finally on break, yeah! Do you ever feel like you need to escape the heat? Or just need a change of pace? Or a trip to perk up your lifestyle and outlook on life? We sure do! We love to travel.
I guess I’m reminiscing about our stay at Hofsas House Hotel in Carmel.

I shared our tips in our first Carmel travel post, which linked to it at the bottom of this post. I didn’t have enough time to edit and share all my photos, so I’m slowly giving you the 411 of the fun we had.
Carmel
I love how the terrain changes as you travel about Carmel, Monterey, and the surrounding areas.
Carmel’s 17-mile drive
On our last day, we decided to do the 17-mile drive, as mentioned before. We enjoyed the scenic views. 17 stops of trees, sea, rocks, plants, and nature.
Carmel Beach
I love seeing how Sammie sees things through her eyes. She’s learning to love photography more and more. We jokingly take a photo of each other taking photos on each of our trips together. This was at Carmel’s Beach just a five minutes drive from the hotel.
She was standing in front of this big, compacted sand wall that was quite amazing to see. All the colors, textures, and plants.
We watched these surfers head out to surf, and then spotted dolphins jumping in the water. But, neither of us could capture them on camera, despite trying. They were swimming and jumping all over but, way too fast for us to capture them.
When we parked at the beach, this was the view before heading down. You can see the stairway in my previous post.

Queen Bedroom + Suite
It’s a boutique hotel. Family-friendly and dog-friendly (if needed) hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown Carmel. With beautiful old buildings, courtyards, and streets.
You can find out more about the town and its history from my first post. The hotel has friendly staff, clean rooms, and quality necessities.
You will find it has off-street parking behind the hotel. Free wi-fi and a continental breakfast which is available. We enjoyed our stay so much.
The hotel is family-owned by the Theis Family and has provided travelers with European Hospitality for over 60 years. Each room is uniquely decorated and has a different theme. Our room was fit for a girly and so spacious perfect for our mid-week adventure. If you are looking for a place to stay they also have specials.
One of the days we grabbed sandwiches from 5th Street Deli and headed to the beach. We tried the tuna salad sandwiches, and they were yummy! You’ll find all kinds of small coffee shops around town.
We stopped at Carmel Valley Roasting Co. We tried yummy cheeses from The Cheese Shop. There are wine shops, boutiques, specialty shops, art galleries, and restaurants.
Carmel By The Seas Fire Station
When walking the town of Carmel, I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful stone fire department. I’m not quite sure how old the building is but, you find many unique buildings and stone walkways about town.
