One of our favorite past times has included a chalk drawing on the patio or sidewalk, painting outdoors and other activities. But, I have something that combines chalk and paint to share with you! It’s a new Chalk Art product Chalk Paint! This is perfect for outdoor playtime for kids ages 3 years and up.

Chalk Art Fun For Kids

Families get outdoors with your kids and create some sidewalk chalk paintings! Spring murals with flowers, birds, and butterflies. Go to a sidewalk art event. They have two great ones in Central, CA  in San Luis Obispo the I Madonnari Italian Street Chalk Festival September 6th & 7th, and in Paso Robles  Arte de Tiza September 20th. Take photos of your favorite designs and then recreate them at home! But, you don’t have to wait until then to get creating. The sky is the limit to what you can create.

Plain and simple just get outdoors and have some family fun with Sidewalk Chalk Paint!

Here’s just a snip-it of our afternoon sidewalk chalk art fun.

Sidewalk Chalk Paint

I opened the package so you can see it comes with a stir stick and two foam brushes. RoseArt’s Washable Sidewalk Chalk Paint is easy to use, rinses away in a jiffy with plain water and is non toxic.

To use, mix the chalk powder and water in the pre-made bucket. We ended up getting the packets and adding to the mixture after our first try and still had lots left in the bag.

An Easy Way for Chalk Painting

Create an outline design with small foam brushes and fill in the color using the rollers if your pack has them. The two pack doesn’t come with rollers. But, the foam brushes worked really well.

For bold designs, use more layers of paint. Like magic, the colors will become lighter and brighter as they dry. It’s really cool seeing it happen. Sammie made this heart for me and lots of other designs but, this was my favorite!

Left over sidewalk chalk paint supplies in a plastic bag

Unused “paint” will keep indefinitely and can be stored in the buckets for later use. I used twist ties for the bags of unused sidewalk chalk paint and put them all in a plastic bag to store safely out of the reach of small children, although it is non-toxic. For cleaning I ran water over the foam brushes and squeezed the paint clean up is super quick and easy!

Don’t want your sidewalk painting anymore? Just hose down your sidewalk with water to clean up too. We left our pretty drawings outside and they are still looking great but, I did a test area and washes away with water easily.

The product is a Washable Sidewalk Chalk Paint. The paint becomes more brilliant as it dries. You can get the Sidewalk Chalk Paint in two-piece packs, nine-piece packs, and seventeen piece packs!

These are our 100% honest opinions with our experience using RoseArt Sidewalk Chalk Paint. Our only disappointment was not receiving more colors to try. I think this will be a great product for any family to have lots of outdoor creative fun! Hope you enjoy using them as much as we did. We still love creating sidewalk art with this chalk. (which is washable too) I think we prefer this chalk for versatility over this product but, if you have school-age kids on the younger side they are sure to enjoy this outdoor activity. Happy Chalk Painting!
