Before we headed back east we updated our fashions with a shopping spree, where we purchased new sunglasses. No matter what time of year it is here we love sunglasses for when we are walking, hiking, driving or flying when traveling. It’s a must have fashion accessory, and part of our lifestyle no matter what time of year it is.

I used to be an eye glass snob I never went anywhere without mine. To this day, I love having my sunglasses with me, so I guess I am still that sunglass snob. Then when Sammie hit her teens she asked for her first good pair of sunglasses for women. I think she’s following in my foot steps. When I purchased mine I opted for prescription sunglasses since I drive with them, and don’t wear contacts. Sammie isn’t driving yet so opted just for non prescription sunglasses.

When we were back east we spent a lot of time outdoors since we were entertaining the little ones. Taking long walks, spending time at the park and traveling about. We even made it to the Jersey shore. We did do some fashion window shopping. It’s crazy expensive compared to what we were used to spending. But, loved all the fashions we saw in Jersey and NYC.

It was so beautiful back east. I can’t wait to share a few photos. If you follow me on Instagram you can see I’ve started sharing some already. We took a drive from New Jersey to Upstate NYC. It was so scenic and beautiful with all the leaves turned brilliant colors. The weather brisk but, not super cold until night-time. We get desert weather so we are used to it down into the high 20’s. I have so much to share with you all from my trip but, it will take me a while to sort out photos and write posts.

We got back to California and about melted! The contrast in weather was so amazing. We tossed off sweaters, shoes and grabbed our sunglasses. Back to skirts, shorts and tees. I know we are rounding the corner to Thanksgiving and the holidays. But, part of me just wants to be in denial that the end of the year is approaching.

Which Styles of Sunglasses are your favorites?

Tennis has ended for Sammie. Our trip to help family and meet the new baby “Henry” is over. I have so much to do in our home to be ready for the end of the year. I also have lots of things coming up for you here. Somehow I need to fit in traveling, family and being thankful for all that this year has given us. I am hopeful that this year continues to be full, healthy and happy to the end. (for not only us but, you too)

Sammie asked me to take photos of her for a modeling job she decided to try for. We did a few fashion changes, with and without her wearing sunglasses. Win or lose we have some great photos of her and had a lot of fun taking them.

We usually are crunched for time but, on this day we spent time talking and taking photos. I am always amazed by the young lady she is becoming. She was a big help back east with the kids too. Her nephew Theo loves her and pizza! (His dad would tell him he loved him as he got tucked in and he’d tell his dad he loved pizza! he’s only 2) He’s so adorable.

I guess today’s post is a bit fashion and a bit behind the blog. You know it’s good to just let the words roll when you have something in your head (or heart). It’s mid November!!
