Are you gifting little ones, children this holiday season? I am! I always enjoy gifting books to my family and advocating the love of reading. As a mom/grandma I am always looking for ways to give / giveback, and pay it forward. I am excited to be sharing this post with you today all about a great partnership between Studio Fun International with the ASPCA. As a pet owner, pet lover and someone who is dedicated to the memory of my mom’s teaching the love of reading this post has lots of meaning behind it. Together Studio Fun International in partnership with the ASPCA has published a series of children’s books, ASPCA kids: Rescue Readers!

We’ve had many pets over the years. I could tell you endless stories of the rescue animals and pet antics. I have always loved reading, thanks to my moms values being instilled in me. I’ve passed it onto my kids who now are passing it onto theirs. Whether your a parent or grandparent these stories are inspired by real-life animal rescue stories from the pet’s point of view!

Our Thoughts on the Childrens Books ASPCA Rescue Readers Books:

The illustrations are absolutely adorable! Each story shares facts and photographs of the actual pet that inspired the stories. The quality of books are really great.

I loved the Mix & Match Pets with split openings, colors and counting book. In a covered cardboard sturdy for toddlers and up.

A New Home For Truman aspca kids Pet Rescue Club Childrens Book

As you open the cover of A New Home for Truman his bio and photo is on a removable bookmark! What reader doesn’t love that? The book is part of the series Pet Rescue Club. It has cute illustrations but, they are in black and white print. For the more advanced reader.

Our Final thoughts;

I can’t wait to wrap these books up and see their eyes when they open them! Sit next to my next generation of future of readers sharing the lovely stories. I really think you’ll enjoy these children’s book choices too. I know I’ll be purchasing a few more of these books for gifting this season and to help the ASPCA.

Rescue Readers Overview

The level 2 books are in full color, with a message to the parents and tips on how to help teach your reader/reader to be. Adorable illustrations and easy to read. With a bit larger font size. Above is a sample page from I Am Picasso.

  • The books are written for Level 2 reading and for early readers.
  • Sharing the importance of care, protection and love of animals with the stories. The focus is a joyous outcome.
  • When considering what to give your young readers in your life this is worthy of consideration four to five percent of every book goes directly to the ASPCA to help continue it’s mission.
