Ingredients
- 1.5 ounces of Tequila
- 1.5 ounces of Orange-Flavored Liqueur
- 1.25 ounces of fresh-squeezed Lime Juice
This will make 1 Margarita. To make two margaritas double the ingredients (1.5 x 2) 3 ounces of Tequila, (1.5 x 2) 3 ounces of Liqueur, and (1.25 x 2) 2.5 ounces of Lime Juice. Use the same process to make additional drinks.

- Fill a cocktail shaker full of ice and add the tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice.
- Lid the cocktail shaker, hold, and shake vigorously to combine. Pour the mixed cocktail into the glasses (rimmed with salt) and garnish with a lime.
Recipe Notes For Making Classic Margaritas On The Rocks
This is a strong drink when first poured. The flavors will mellow a bit as the ice melts. Adding 1-2 tablespoons of the simple syrup to the cocktail shaker before mixing will give you a sweeter drink.
Note: Rim your glasses with salt. Do this before (or after) shaking the cocktail. Rimming the glass with salt will enhance the flavor but using a salted-rim glass comes down to a personal preference.

Heat in a saucepan 1 part sugar with 1 part water. Stir until thoroughly dissolved. Let cool before storing or using. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can also be made 2:1 for sweeter syrup.
