Call For Fall Inspiration: Spotlight Link-up 9 #Crafting #Sewing #Diy #Recipes….
Dear Creatives, I hope this finds you well! Its been a busy two weeks with having gone to the blogging conference! For this week’s Inspiration Spotlight I thought we could link up all things Halloween & Fall, but of course you can link up anything creative you would like too; a recipe, diy, sewing, tutorial or decor….It topped 107* here & broke some records for heat, but today we have found the fog rolling back in & slightly cooling down the weather! Can I do a happy dance now? (wipes sweat from brow) Whew! So you can see why I am looking for some fall inspiration, lol.
I can’t wait to share some of the people I met in person at the conference, tips I learned & speakers I heard. It was such a great experience. You know their are certain times in life when you learn lessons, meet people, see something or get chances to….. & it can just stay with you forever! Which brings me to this poster. When I was a teen I had the chance to meet Charles Schulz who wrote the comic strip Charlie Brown. His daughter ice skated at an arena that my girl scout troupe took a trip to. He made me a cartoon sketch & signed it, unfortunately I lost it through lots of moves, but to this day he is one of my favorite cartoonists & fall reminds me of him, pumpkin patches remind me of him. I think his simply delightful illustrations, drawing from what his experiences were from his family touches a cord with so many!

This poster just makes me want to pull out my sketch book, make a costume & go to the pumpkin patch & create things with orange! So don’t forget to link up & inspire me! Who knows you could be in the spotlight next week!
Now onto last week’s entries being featured:
Becky up-cycled these bookends. She found them from thrifting & with a little spray paint turned them into a treasure! & gave them a modern twist! Its amazing what a little pop of color can do. Note to self look for bookends… & go thrift shopping more.
I love this wonky star baby quilt that Kelly from BlueBirdSews linked up. She shows you how easy it is do create this on her blog! I will have to save this for the next time I need to make a baby quilt! Kelly says,” How to make a quilt and other sewing projects are the backdrop to her life in Portland, Oregon where she lives with her Husband, 2+ year old and the dog & cat.” She makes custom quilts and designs which she shares at her blog & sells in her Etsy shop. Blue Bird Sews is her passion and creative outlet. Pop on over when your done here & see the great quilts she made last year & what she is up to now!
