Today’s Beauty Review Zakia’s Morocco: Along with the review of the Moroccan Beauty Products has an exclusive discount for all my readers, along with a giveaway from Zakia’s Morocco. I’m excited to share the discount code and giveaway with you later in the post. There are two beauty products I had the chance to review Moroccan Black Soap and Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Mask. I’ve never heard or tried a black soap before. Have you?

This black soap comes in a pretty jar and it’s rather thick and sticky. You just apply a little to your fingers and bring it to a lather in your hand. It lathers up rather quickly with applying a little warm water to your hand. Then you just rub it in a circular motion to create the lather.

Moroccan Black Soap

It’s super easy to use. The first time I used it I think I applied too much and didn’t rinse it enough. It left a little sticky residue. But, then I rinsed again using my warm wash cloth and removed the excess. It left my skin feeling really soft and fresh. There is no smell to the product. I have sensitive skin and didn’t have any problems using this product.

Moroccan Black Soap

Product Details:

  • 100% Natural – No Parabens, PEGs, Mineral Oil, Silicone, Sulfates
  • Moroccan Black Soap is a wondrous body treatment. It is rich in minerals helping clean and detoxify your skin while leaving an extraordinary smooth and silky finish.
  • The soap is suitable for all skin types and particularly enjoyable for dry and mature skin.

Zakia’s Black Soap is a 100% natural plant product. Based on an olive oil pulp this soap is extremely rich in vitamin E. It is a great emollient, exfoliate and moisturizer. It cleanses the skin leaving the skin soft and silky to the touch. Thanks to this high content of vitamin E, it helps to revitalize the skin, acting against dryness, dehydration and aging skin.
This soap lathers modestly and is best used with a loofah or wash cloth. You will love the richness of its texture and the slight tingly feeling as you leave on for a minute or two.

For a really great skin treatment follow your Black Soap Cleansing with our unique Kessa exfoliating glove. I didn’t get to try the Kessa exfoliating glove but, if/when I do receive on I’ll update how I like the additional steps for using the Black Soap with the Kessa exfoliating glove. This mildly abrasive cloth is said to help remove all impurities, toxins and dead skin cells. Your skin will be healthy, smooth and luxurious.

Beauty Review Thoughts on the Black Soap:

Final thoughts about Zakia’s Black Soap: Personally I can tell you that from using Argan Oil my skin is softer than it’s ever been. I think that using this Black Soap that also contains Argan Oil can only continue to be a benefit to my skin especially living in a very dry climate. The jar 8.82 ounces. Just by the little amount that I used I can tell it will last quite awhile, which is good as this size costs $29.99 but, at the time of the writing of this post it’s on sale for $19.99! Again, this was easy to use and felt great after using.

Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Mask

Beauty Review|Moroccan Clay Mask

I also received the Clay Powder Mask. You Mix it yourself in a small bowl with a tablespoon of the Chassoul then add about 5 tablespoons of warm water, mix and apply. Using a 1:5 ratio.

Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Mask creates a smooth paste you apply to your skin, hair and or full body then let the clay mask beauty product dry for up to 10 minutes and rinse. This clay mask is good for absorbing excess oil, removes facial impurities and leaves skin clean and toned. There is mention that you may have a little reddish skin for 15 minutes after use. When used on hair it’s good for deep cleaning scalp, removing excess oil build up and treating split ends.

Final thoughts on the Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Mask:

After mixing and using this mask. I can tell you that the measurements are not a true tablespoon but, one from your silverware drawer. Next time I mixed the clay with water I added the water slowly to get the correct consistency. It was easy to mix up, warm and gooey like clay/mud, easy to apply and spread. When the clay was rinsed off it left my skin feeling smooth, hydrated and clean.

I didn’t see any signs of going to have red skin until I was taking it off. I felt no irritations at all but, for me it did leave temporary redness as mentioned, whether from the product or from taking it off with my wash cloth. Other than having the problem with mixing it to proper consistency the first time it’s easy to use. Since you mix it yourself it’s not like a squeeze out type of mask but, I enjoyed the results. If you have the extra few minutes to mix up your clay mask I think you’d like this product. We have yet to try it on our hair but, I’m going to give Sammie a treatment and update post later. She has a tendency to get oil build up in her thick curly hair.

When I visited their site I noticed they do have Black Soap with scents such as jasmine, orange, lavender…. And they have other products. If your interested in trying it for yourself I hope you enjoy it as much. The review, 20 %  discount and giveaway are brought to you today by Brandbacker and Zakia’s Morocco.
