I had the opportunity from Bzz Agent to review Fage (pronouced  “fa-yeh”) . Fage is a Greek yogurt. Fage has come a long way since it’s humble beginnings. In fact they now hare Greece’s leading yogurt company. It’s beginnings were in Athens Greece in 1924 as a small country shop to leading company in Greece, then in 2008 coming to America in 1998, then opening a facility in 200 miles north of  New York City in 2008. You can find out more about Fage and its humble beginnings on their website. FAGE Total is authentic, natural and delicious Greek strained yogurt — plain extraordinary. Those are their exact words but, now let me share my experience trying their Greek yogurt, along with the review.

I was able to tell the difference in the quality of the yogurt from the minute I pulled the plastic top off, next a layer of foil,  then lined on top of the yogurt another layer top to keep it fresh. As I spooned it into the cup swirling the yogurt, it was thick and creamy as I pulled the spoonfuls out I was excited in anticipation to try Fage. I purchased a plain 2% container. I new that I might use some of the yogurt in a recipe besides eating some, so I picked a non fruit or honey variety. There are several choices, which you can see later in this post.

Next I decided to add some fresh strawberries and blackberries we had from our shopping trip. So I quickly washed them up, got them ready for my morning breakfast.

I grabbed the glass cup of yogurt adding my delicious fruits. Perfect I thought, as the yogurt is not sweetened. By adding the fruit is the perfect complement of giving it a sweetened flavor in a natural way which is always healthier.

Oh, I just couldn’t stop there. I was going to make this my lunch too since I was eating so late in the morning. I grabbed my bag of granola then, added it to the mix of yogurt and fruits! After taking the photographs to share with you I grabbed up the spoon beginning my tasty review. Just sheer indulgence! I didn’t want to spoil this moment, savoring every last bite! I will think of sitting in a cafe, over looking the ocean in Greece when I eat my yogurt! Oh, so good!

    1. Hi Lori, I hope you do! & drop back by soon I’ll be sharing a recipe with using the same yogurt! Can I just say yummy & goes with coffee or tea.

  1. I love fage!!! I only buy the plain since their fruit cups have a ton of sugar for some reason. I add defrosted frozen blueberries and the “juice” from them and sliced almonds for breakfast daily

    1. I haven’t gotten the fruit filled ones, but fruits have lots of natural sugars to begin with. So that might be part of it. It is pretty amazing yogurt.
