Have you ever tried making peach jam? Our little fruit stand down the street is still pumping out some great fall harvest and has had plenty of peaches. Farm fresh goodness to eat and preserve. I feel so spoiled to be able to have it within walking distance. But, I usually end up taking the car as it would be a lot to carry home. I love stocking up there. We grabbed several bags of peaches on our last haul. I decided to jump right in with our easy canning recipes. We made this year’s version delicious peach jam recipe. We made both canned and refrigerator jam from this small batch of peaches.
I was surprised and grateful to find that there were plenty of peaches to pick from at the farm stand. I looked up an easy recipe in my canning book. You might remember me sharing it before? I’ll put a link and more information at the bottom of the post. What’s great about this canning book is there are so many recipes, plus it’s packed with resources for preserving.
Easy And Delicious Peach Jam
Since I don’t have trees anymore I typically do small batch canning and use easy canning recipes. It’s actually really easy to do small-batch canning. Have you ever tried? It is so worth it as you get all the fresh flavors at the peak of the season to use throughout the year. Or in our case until the batches, we can are all eaten up.
The consistency was pretty amazing. I won’t go through all the steps by steps today. But, in this post, you can find a step by a step video tutorial for peach jam and how to can peach jam at the end of the post.
I decided to try my freshly canned peach jam on my fresh zucchini bread (our zucchini bread recipe). I canned all but, one jar. That jar was the leftovers from the bottom of the pot and not enough to make it worth canning a half jar.

Easy Canning Recipes
This was a yummy treat and perfectly paired with my fall blend coffee too. I doubt this small batch will last a year as I only made 5 pints but, if I see more fresh late-season peaches you know I’m making another small batch! If you have peaches in your area they are worth grabbing to make some fresh jam. For the fridge, canned, or by freezing. It doesn’t require too much time and it can be a great gift for the holidays if you can your jars.
