10+ Ways To Top Hot Chocolate And Cocoa Drinks!

Drink Recipes Waking up and drinking a cup of warm cocoa

But, first a quick little story. I have to admit I have a love/hate relationship with winter. I hate the cold weather, high winds, frosty mornings, and scraping ice from the windows to get Sammie to school. (and I live in CA) How do my east coast friends and family manage? I just want to wrap you with a blanket and hand you a cup of hot chocolate or one of my hot drink recipes! On the flip side, I do love being indoors during cold weather warming up with a cozy blanket and sipping on a toasty hot beverage, like cocoa! Don’t you?!

Weekends are made for pajama days and sipping hot chocolate while binge-watching shows.

I love the weekends when Sammie and I stay in our pajamas, pick out a few movies or shows to have marathon viewings. We call days like this pajama Sam days after a game she played online when she was 4. It was a logic game where the character “Sam” was in his pajamas, she’d play the game in her pajamas. Hence the name “pajama Sam”.

She’s still known for enjoying games on weekends in her pajamas too. Always with a cup of delicious warm hot cocoa! When she was little her favorite part of it wasn’t just the chocolaty cocoa she loved the whip cream toppings and could ask for a second cup without the cocoa when she was little. We still chuckle when we have our weekend hot chocolate drinks. Now, second cups are full of chocolaty goodness!

This just makes me wish our weekends would last longer! Slow mornings, fuzzy pets, hot cocoa…Come Monday, winter, and all we are back to our fast-paced, daily routine.

What ways do you like to top your hot chocolate?

Caramel Lover?

For my favorite, the Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa the velvety cocoa with a pinch of sea salt and a dash of natural caramel flavor is all I need. Well, unless I’m feeling indulgent by topping it with whip cream.

Or if I need a big dose of caffeine I just add coffee to my big travel mug to create a mocha joe. Let’s not forget about Starbucks caramel drizzle either! Yum to the tummy! Each cup is made with real cocoa and non-fat milk for a sweet chocolate sensation and a savory flair.
