Dear Creatives, With the holidays approaching & being invited to homes for stay overs or just dinners having a few hostess gifts handy is always a good idea. Purchasing last minute ones can sometimes add up especially if you have a large family or associations. Here is a round up of some great diy hostess gifts that can be put together fast or easily.

I am a big fan of fresh cut flowers & this simple trick of dressing up the bouquet is something easy & inexpensive. Most crafter s have beautiful ribbons on hand, sometimes pretty papers and how easy is it to find a clip, broach or bauble to add to give it a touch of class & sparkle.

This idea of dressing up simple candles is great! Candles can get expensive but adding this touch to plain candles adds some wow factor! Use non toxic inks, stamp or stamp roller & candle varnish & you have a simple but pretty hostess gift. I would add them in a little basket or tie them up with pretty ribbon & your set to give!

We live five hours away from our nearest relatives so when we go to visit not staying over usually isn’t an option. I came across this great recipe for Cranberry Pecan Granola. No, it wasn’t the pecans that got me although I love them. It was the fact that it is more simple, economical & looks so pretty in the jar to bring along as a hostess gift. In my case it might have to be a quart jar or several small ones in case the hostess breaks it out before our leaving.
