Start with a white cake.
It is how you decorate the top and fill the centers that make the cakes different.
Start by using different colored cake batter layers. And different candy or jelly bean colors inside,
on the top, and in the center of your cake.

This cake with jelly beans is easy to make.
What you will love about this cake recipe is that there are multiple layers with different colors. When you cut the cake, you get a surprise!
Don’t you love surprise cakes? You can use one color jelly beans (pink), (blue) inside to make a gender reveal cake for a baby shower. Cut the cake, and jelly beans will spill out.
Next, add your cake food coloring to the individual layers before baking, with your theme colors.
Use a different bowl for each color layer.
Pour your cakes into prepared baking pans.
