Staying active and keeping active is key. Small changes in your lifestyle can make a big difference in your health.
Regular walks or hikes are a perfect way to keep healthy. Spring is the perfect time to renew and rejuvenate. I love to go outside as the weather gets nicer. Whenever I go outdoors, I notice the fresh outdoor air also lifts my spirits, especially after a good walk or hike.
Recently, we headed to the coast for some fun, walking, and hiking. We walked around the nature preserve. It’s a 1.5-mile trail that is easy. Then we hiked beyond the preserve onto Pismo beach. I love photographing what I see on my walks and capturing the beauty of nature.
Our weather has been all over the place. Cloudy, foggy, sunny, rainy. But, finally, spring is here. Open your windows to get fresh air, stretch, put on your shoes and get outdoors.
As my day starts I make my healthy smoothie and get ready for the day.
On this day; I packed my windbreaker, camera, water, and a snack. I put on my walking shoes and headed to the coast. But, for daily walking it is easy to step outside and start walking right in your neighborhood or nearest park path.
I love spending time taking photos of plants, flowers, and nature. It’s nice to enjoy the outdoors and have a healthy lifestyle.
You don’t have to over complicate your daily routine for staying healthy.
How to Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle?
Make healthy smoothies
Add fiber to your diet
Adding fiber to my diet has been helping me stay on track. If you aren’t into smoothies, just mix it with water. Or even juice. Following the directions right on the bottle.* Take as directed.

Get Active; Stretch, Walk, Hike (or find an activity you enjoy)
Drink plenty of water (2 liters per day)

Finding and spending time with others that enjoy the same things makes walking and hiking even better. On this day I walked with my daughter and son in law. We enjoy finding new walking paths and hiking paths every time they visit.
