This past year we have reviewed a lot of kids crafts books and craft kits. We have also used so many craft toys for free play and teaching kids over the years. We decided to create that gift guide for kids, gifts kids will love. You’ll find links to our detailed posts with the breakdown of each of the gift ideas and/or the reviews and where to purchase the items.*for your convenience We love doing crafts in our family. What about you? The thing that is great is there is a lot of learning through crafting.

Which is a great bonus when hand-picking gifts that serve a dual purpose. From reading, manual dexterity, listening skills, patience, to making choices. All this and more will be part of the learning/fun experience with any of our favorite gifts for kids this year.

So let’s get to our gift guide for kids!

Kids Craft Books and Kids Craft Kits

Gift Ideas for Creative Kids

Your kids don’t have to be creative to like these gifts, but if your kids love exploring with their hands, learning things, and crafting you are bound to find ideas from this list of gift ideas.

By far one of my favorite kid’s crafts books we reviewed was Fun With Stitchables. It includes punch cards for the kids to use big plastic needles to sew with yarn or embroidery floss to learn with. (our review) The book doesn’t come with the supplies but, the supplies are inexpensive.

The next two books are awesome for toddlers to 10 years old. Toddlers will need help but, can glue and paint. Bigger kids will be able to do the projects. We had so much fun with the grandkids while their parents were on vacation. These activities kept them busy daily.

A few of my grandkids are getting older and in school, I’ve found they enjoy crafts and craft kits. My granddaughter not only loved the sewing book but, she loved the Ultimate Girls Night In it had so many fun ideas for sleepovers! She’s also hooked on her American Girl Dolls. So anything American Girl is a hit with the girls from age 5-12 years. And her brother who is 4 years old enjoys playing with her and helping her. Another thing they love is American Girl Baking (cookbook).

One of the things I have always loved about kids craft kits is that you really get to try out various crafts. It’s nice as if you have a young family and haven’t invested in a lot of craft supplies the kits usually come with everything you’d. I’ve rounded up these craft kids that anyone can find something as a gift.
