Weekend Wisked By & A Scrap Quilt Block
Dear Creatives, I can’t believe it is Monday already! How about you? Did you do anything creative over the weekend? I managed to slip in a few projects & find some more inspiration. I spent part of the weekend helping with yard work, hanging out laundry and enjoying the beginnings of autumn.
The summers are very hot where we are and take a toll on our garden and roses so autumn is the perfect time to pay attention to the yard while preparing for the seasons changing.
Another thing I enjoyed is doing a few autumn projects outside. I spray painted some things until the wind came up. Although I love breezes which we get every afternoon here, it ended my paint project for the day so I will share it with you later. But do have a project to share with you today~
This is a little scrap work I sewed. I made the small quilt block by hand and machine. I used scraps from the apron I made *you can see it under projects. I am not completely done but it is well on its way. I don’t know a lot about quilting but have made a few baby quilts. I sure would love to do more quilting but in the mean time I have been making some art quilt blocks with handmade fabrics. I will share more about those later . Here is a tutorial that I came across about piecing as you go along if you’d like to try making a few quilt blocks and join the blocks together.
I might have to give this to someone dear
I will have lots of fall inspiration coming this week! If you have something you made, crafted, photographed, recipes, diy…. please feel free to link up right here on my Friday Feature Link-Up & you can also grab some crafty inspiration while you are linking up via the post. I can’t wait to see what you made over the weekend.
What did you do sew, craft or do the weekend?
