We love being on the go. Even during the school year we occasionally travel by planning ahead, and using the school’s work study program. Luckily for me I can work on the go but, this means having a cell phone that can keep up with all the work I have to do online, and keep me organized. I also have to handle coordinating my teen that is constantly on the go. This year Sammie is a sophomore. For my photography I am always looking for the latest technology, to support my photography needs.
Are you like me? Do you need a new cell that can keep up with your busy lifestyle? A cell phone that keeps you organized, connected to family, social media, takes great photography, and gives you great photo storage for your photos. I know cell phones can be an investment. Today I’m sharing how you can save, and enjoy this amazing cell phone too.
Samsung Galaxy GS8 Unlocked
What if you could get a great cell phone like the Samsung Galaxy GS8 at a fantastic price? I’m here to tell you, you can have your cake and eat it too. Right now you can purchase both the Samsung Galaxy GS8, and the Samsung Galaxy GS8+ unlocked.
What does unlocked mean? You can choose your carrier, data plan, and services. Of course you can add your favorite features and apps. You can set up your phone exactly the way you want it. First let me share a little about my cell phone experience. See how I’m enjoying the camera, it’s special features and, a few tips for getting your great shots. Then I’ll share how easy it is to purchase online.
Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a few apps pre-installed. It’s easy to customize your new cell phone by using the Play Store right on the cell phone. You can also transfer your data with the Samsung Smart Switch. I love the screen, with sleek design. The Infinity Screen displays and stretches from edge to edge. It has a 12 mega pixel camera + features you’ll love.
GS8 Camera boasts a 12.0 Mega pixel rear camera and 8.0 Mega pixel front camera.
I’m into photography but, it’s not always convenient to carry around a big camera for shooting photos. Now that I have my new GS8 I think I’ve got a game changer. I can wait to set up a few video shoots too. You can see some of the great photos it takes from my testing it out. It takes full size images; the only thing I did was resize the image smaller for the post. See those fall leaves surrounding the cactus. The details are amazing on the images. We stopped by the botanical gardens that we love on the way to go shopping over the weekend.
Tips for taking a good cell photo:
- Hold the camera with two hands, hold hands steady by having your arms against your body or use a tripod
- Use the focus feature
- Zoom in or out
- Use the adjust light feature
Then take your shot. Take several shots to ensure you get the one you want. Delete unwanted photos saving space. Use editing features later, if needed.
Look at the pretty details of the Iris flower close up. You can easily adjust the focus points, along with zoom in or out. I didn’t have to do any editing. There are plenty of options right all on the GS8. Starting with auto adjust, then for editing transform, tone, advance, effects, and decorations.
For styling photos for lifestyle shots you can pick a neutral background by using a white board or use woods or other photo props. Groupings of odd numbers are attractive visually. - The GS8 has an option called Bixby.
You can click on Bixby Vision, and up pops up information after searching for similar images. You can use it for fashion, home décor, and other things like flowers or plants. Then you can see more about products, and even shop the images. I think this is such a cool feature.
You can also isolate text and add it to the image details. For either function click Bixby Vision, and follow easy prompts.
- I love that this cell phone is water resistant, no worries by the tub bathing kids, at pool or beach.
You will find both the GS8 and GS8+ unlocked available online at Walmart. They are available in black and orchid. I love the convenience of picking out a phone online.
I picked the free shipping option but, there is now a two day shipping option if you need your phone quick.
You can purchase a care plan for your cell phone there are two and three year options.
Or get it without a care package if you rather.
It’s easy to add the insurance, if you decide to get it. Apply payment, and personal information at checkout.
It took under 5 minutes total to purchase it online at Walmart. Then I received my cell phone in a few days. Then just take it to your favorite carrier and activate with a SIM card. ¹
The teens had fun checking out the cell phone, taking selfies and, adding stickers (included with the camera) to their selfies on the way to go shopping.
Want to get tech-y? The Samsung Galaxy cell phones have fast wireless charging without having to plug it in but, this charger is sold separately. Need more space? Micro SD Card you can expand your storage if needed up to 256GB ( MicroSD card sold separately) I am notorious for going through all my storage. Ahem.
Anyone else excited to purchase a GS8 unlocked? Or have you already?
