Today’s 12 days of blogmas is all about Christmas favorites. Starting out with one of my favorite things, Christmas lights. I have to say that I love the sparkle in the night sky of all the houses lighted up and glowing. I love holiday home decor. A warm cozy fire and big wool socks. We started out the holiday season with seeing the Nutcracker. After having girls in dance it’s always been a great way to get into the holiday spirit. When we visit the city we enjoy window shopping and seeing all the pretty displays. In our hometown there is a big gathering called the Vine Street Showcase. One of the main streets closes from one end of town to the other. All the homes are light up and entertainers, dancers, singers join in from the community. Everyone can come walk through enjoying the lights and festivities. Do you have any Christmas favorites?

Every year I pick a new color scheme. I don’t spend a lot of money I just get a few new holiday home décor accent pieces. These are a few that I’ve been eyeing. I did get a glittered deer but, it is silver. I have had my nutcracker for years. I love adding my ornaments into glass jars or trays creating little vignettes for the table, mantle or top of the piano.

I’ve been wanting to have a silver, gold and pink theme this year. I fell in love this pink ottoman. The top comes off for storage. I love the feature for storing extra throws.

I have some of my mom’s Vintage Mike Seratt of The Prized Pig 1960s Christmas Holiday Ornaments, S/12 • $99 They are so pretty and will always be a favorite of mine. The holiday season was her favorite time of year. She had collected many ornaments over the years. You can find the deer shown at many retailers such as Target, Michael’s and Joss & Main.

Of course I do enjoy a little eggnog and festive foods during the season.
