Dear Creatives, Time warp from 1978-1991 when the television series Dallas was on to now & find the new Dallas on TNT Premiering today June 13th at 9/8c

I was chosen to review an advance screening of Dallas & was thrilled to view it. Back in the early days this was a popular evening ‘soap-opera’ style television drama. The show was set in Dallas and chronicled the exploits of wealthy Texas oil millionaires. Many of the plots revolved around shady business dealings and dysfunctional family dynamics. Now Dallas has a new look & new generation of family on SouthFork. The theme song & ranch are the same, but it is back & better than ever!

Dallas is back with drama & JR maybe aged but lookout for his ways he is still as underhanded as ever. Bobby and Sue Ellen Ewing return to the ranch with secrets, schemes and betrayals. This time, they’re joined by the next generation of Ewings, who take ambition and deception to a wicked new level. The battle for power, love and SouthFork. To see a preview & be ready to watch the new series visit Dallas on TNT or just visit to see the family tree & get to know the characters. This is one show you can kick up your heels & craft too this summer!

The acting line up for this season is JR. Ewing -Larry Hagman, Bobby Ewing -Patrick Duffy, Sue Ellen- Linda Gray,  Ann Ewing Brenda Strong, John Ross- Josh Henderson, Elena- Jordana Brewster, Christopher Ewing- Jesse Metcalfe & Rebecca Sutter- Julie Gonzalo. Character descriptions.

Summer’s starting to heat up with some new shows & new generations on Dallas! Do you remember ever seeing parts of the original Dallas?

Is this a show you think you’ll try watching?

I’d love to know how you like it! Who is your favorite character?

  1. I loved this programme. I was only about 7 when it very first came out but I remember watching it every week with my older sister. The re-runs are just hilarious!
I’m quite looking foward to this new series but I’m not sure when it’ll be out here in the UK.
My favourite character was always Bobby – how they got away with bringing him back from the dead via a dream is just soooo funny! But the saddest scene (which I taped and watched ovber and over again) was where he died in the hospital and said to Pam “all this wasted time, we should have been together” – yes, I remember it all!

    1. Hi Linda, thanks for sharing your memories of the show. I’d love to know what you think of the new series. I really think I am going to enjoy it. I loved the preview episodes.
