Right now I’m working on back to school checklists. I can’t even believe we are rounding that corner to school routines. Besides clothes and school supplies we need to stock up on sports gear, sun care products and cosmetics this year. Today we are going to be talking about what beauty and cosmetics that are perfect for back to school, travel and protecting your skin year round; especially if your into the outdoors or sports.

We are planning at least one more trip to the beach. Two trips to visit family, one I’m doing without Sammie and then straight into back to school. Do you like traveling and getting outdoors year round? We sure do. Taking care of your skin is so important. 

Here’s what’s in our bag right now

We had the chance to try COOLA Sun Care products. This is awesome since we love trying new beauty products, and especially organic, cruelty free products. What about you? Honestly, this is great because you know how much we love getting outdoors. Whether it’s me for my nature walks and photography or Sammie’s high school sports. Now, we are getting out more than ever as we have a high energy puppy that needs walks. With Sammie in sports all year long it’s important to stock up on sunscreen and lip protectant. 

I’m pretty fair skinned compared to Sammie and tried the Guava Mango Sunscreen Spray first. It goes on easily and smells amazing! It’s light, lands wet on your skin and dries quickly. You can spread it, if needed while wet. It just makes your skin so soft and isn’t sticky at all. It’s suppose to be water resistant for up to 80 minutes but, I haven’t water tested it yet myself. We both love this product!

The Guava Mango Sunscreen spray has ingredients like Cucumber, Algae and Strawberry Extracts. It’s fragrance is amazing! Oh, ya I did say that already? If so, we had to say it again because we love it. She’s been using it when heading out to tennis practice. She’s on the varsity team this year.

Typically we don’t put on our makeup setting spray with sunscreen on outside but, you can.

The makeup setting spray has a very light hint of a floral scent, and is very light on the skin. 

The lip protectant is really nice goes on smooth, no real scent. This is perfect for when she plays tennis. I like to wear lip protectant when I take walks. It gets really windy in the afternoons here so this is perfect for us. Nobody likes chapped lips. If you live back east this will be your winter must have. 

Sammie tried the makeup tint another winner, goes on easily.
