In The Spotlight:
Christmas Gingerbread Farmhouse Diy
Mary Ellen of ThatsmyHome shares her recipe for Royal Icing for making this Pretty Gingerbread house and other tips on her blog that will have you making a pretty Gingerbread house just in time for Christmas. And on this post SugarPlum Gingerbread House are her tips if you have never made one before! It’s so pretty! Be sure to visit and see it her SugarPlum Gingerbread house. I know this is on my list to do with Sammie on her holiday break. Have you made a gingerbread house before? I’ve only done a kit one before. Oh, and don’t miss Mary Ellen’s Cranberry Pork Chop Recipe! You can find it on her site or via last week’s party.
You can grab the full recipe for creating this yummy Yule Log Chocolate Cake over at Curiositaellya. Ellya mentions that it will keep for a week wrapped in double thickness foil, or freeze it for up to a month. Which is good to know. If you don’t make it this year pin it and make it way ahead of time for next year. I might just have to give it a try. Looks so festive!
Thanks to Bonnie at OurSecondhandHouse for sharing how to create this quick and easy diy! You might just slip one in before the holidays or change up the colors and create one for yourself to hang somewhere in the new year. I know this is going on my diy list.
And if you don’t want to paint your chevron design here is another way you can create a deer silhouette hanging picture! Thanks to Katie from ViewfromtheFridge. She even re-purposed frames! This is one thrifty project that you can change up the colors to suit your decor.
PS. Grab free printable holiday gift tags that I made last year. For personal use! Scroll down post a bit for printable.
