I added various size & Halloween colored buttons to the front of the velvet dress. I made a reversible cape in case she wants to be something else next year & use it again. I lined the green velvet with a black satin & added Halloween ribbon of orange with sparkle white polka dots for ties. For the shoes I added bows tied of the same ribbon & glued them to alligator clips. I just clipped them onto her shoes so they are removable.
I made her a potions book by taking the cover off an old book and writing with journal pens onto the page. I decided to use white ribbon on her hat since her costume is so dark & I wanted to make sure she is seen when crossing the street! I wrapped some of the orange ribbon around the center of the larger white ribbon in the hat it to tie into the colors of the costume. She has a black wig to wear & I will do her makeup. She has this thick black lace she wanted to wrap / tie around the waist on each loop I made it says trick or treat. *out of ribbon I found at Michael’s Crafts. Below is the video tutorial I followed. But one thing I forgot was to purchase green eye shadow, luckily I had purple & improvised! I also made her make up more age appropriate. She decided not to wear her witch wig as it was warm out. Hope you had a great Halloween!
