I started blogging after the loss of my mom. She always encouraged me to follow my passions. But it wasn’t until her loss, along with deciding to leave the corporate job I had, that I decided to take the leap of faith to take my creative journey. Now, I’m taking my photography to the next level, sharing recipes and tips along the way.
- What I didn’t know was how much blogging would bring me. Friendships, business relationships, and opportunities. Not to mention, the gratitude I feel when you stop by.

About us a look back and behind the scenes!
Looking way back we have come so far! And our focus is changing. Change can be good. I have worked hard to master my photography skills. I don’t like to be in front of the camera I prefer to be behind the camera. I need to get a professional headshot soon!

- We are remodeling our home, it’s a slow process when you have a big fixer-upper and a modest budget so we are doing all the work. (we hope to share more behind the scenes of our remodel, as we go room to room.)

Sammie is in college and about to graduate. She got a job as a software engineer. But, moving away to Texas. We will all miss her but, hopefully, she will share a recipe she enjoys. This is her way back. Just see how far this teen of mine has come! Now, it’s official I’m an empty nester.
This was Sammie way back. She still feels you should always be yourself and be kind to others. She still loves to draw, plays the piano, and enjoys drama. Can you imagine what her hat collection looks like now?
Here is Sammie in high school I’ll have to update with more photos but, you can see how much she has grown by reading our posts. This is when we adopted our dog, Luna. (Her dad says you guys need to stop adopting and rescuing pets. lol) In the past; She enjoyed helping behind the scenes, occasionally writes a post, and is learning photography when she has time. We will miss her helping with makeup fashion crafts, and DIY posts. She still enjoys learning about photography and will be missed as my backup camera person.
Sam put away the basketball in high school and picked up the camera and a tennis racket. Then she got on the tennis team. By senior year she achieved the Eagle Award on her varsity team and even placed in Central Coast Tennis Regionals two years in a row. Here is Sammie in her prom dress. All the things we will miss, occasionally modeling for me when she has time, being my backup camera person when I need a hand. Makeup she wears, and the things she is up to. She didn’t get a traditional senior prom or regular high school graduation due to Covid-19. She received a scholarship to college in Arizona. Now, she will graduate and start her new career. She’s leaving me an empty nester. Things are about to change. Stick around for the ride!
