Dear Creatives, I have a little Valentine inspiration for you, it isn’t the post I wanted to do, but do to the rainy weather & it being so dark I am unable to take photographs of the beautiful Valentines mailboxes I made. So please stay tuned for that! So I decided to share a vintage inspired Valentine Day wreath that I made. Not really my style, it reminds me of my grandma, but there are elements of it that I do love.

Cherub

Valentines’ Day  has always brought images of cherubs to mind & when I came across this set of vintage scrapbook images by K & Company I knew I had to make something with them besides just Valentines as the package comes with 112 pieces! (promise to share some cards I make later too!) These are designer die cut card stock. The white wings were from another project & I can’t remember off hand where I got them. They are quite pretty in person.

The little extra string at the top is for when I find the perfect heart to hang in the center. This was something I made with items that were given to me or hanging around in my stash & the only thing I purchased was the K & Company die cuts on sale @ $1.99 what a bargain! This lovely green yarn I wrapped over & under the wire form. Then I just made small  romantic, vintage style vignettes & glued them into place. I used lace, pearls, feathers, velvet leaves, silver leaves, glittered mini clothes pins & the vintage die cuts. I made a loop on the back with the yarn for hanging it. Next I want to make a Valentine garland, but I don’t think it will be vintage as my house is quite modern & I want something to keep.
