Hostess Gift Ideas And Last Minute Easter Decor Ideas
Gathering for holidays such as Easter doesn’t have to be difficult on the hostess. With a little planning it can good really smoothly. Pre planning a brunch or early dinner seems to suit our family well. When we get together we tend to stay up late past putting the kids to bed. We spend time catching up, playing games and enjoying each other’s company. Many of us travel to a central location for Easter to get together.
Often times taking turns at hosting. We divide up the dishes we make each bringing or making our favorites the day of Easter. We like to treat the hostess with a gift for putting our family up in their home for a few days. I really enjoy picking out a gift that someone might not purchase for themselves. Something that they can use on Easter and again. Today I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite Easter hostess gift ideas. The great thing is these can also be suited to you if you haven’t been hosting very long and need items to dress up your Easter table, living room or entertaining areas.

I love serving appetizers on pretty plates and cheese plates. They are easy to prepare ahead of time, cover and pull out to serve. If you are looking for great appetizers I have a whole Pinterest board full of them here:

I haven’t met a hostess yet who didn’t enjoy getting a new apron, pretty kitchen towel such as the Buena Pasqua Italian Kitchen towel or create a festive basket filled with anything from wines or sparkling apple cider, candies or toiletries to help them relax after all their hard work. It’s so easy to grab a basket like the Easter Lined Willow Serving Basket and put a few items in it to create a useful gift that someone will appreciate.
One of my favorite things is grabbing flowers to arrange in a vase for someone. A classically styled favorite that is affordable is the Lenox vase. Everyone loves fresh flowers and a vase that can be used again. If you are intimidated by flower arranging yourself you can take your vase to your local grocery store’s floral center. Most times they will do it for free or a nominal fee. You can have them add pretty ribbons, a card even balloons if you like! This is a really great service that many stores offer you just have to ask! Another thing you can do is grab Faux Eggs, place them inside the vase on top of some moss or alone, finishing it with a pretty satin ribbon tied around it.
I’ve always found the German Easter Egg Containers so pretty. Add their (or your) favorite wrapped candies such as caramels or….pop them in a basket for giving finishing off with a bow tied on top.
What’s great about these ideas is they can be used for gifting anyone your helping or staying with whether it’s Easter, wedding or baby shower. Just tailor the gift idea to suit your occasion.
