Beautiful Hand Painted Garlic – Spice Jar From Uncommon Goods
I am always looking for unique gifts & of course one of a kind items that you can find useful for your home. Uncommon Goods offered me that opportunity recently. Thanks to Uncommon Goods I was able to review a gift item & since we are updating our kitchen soon I found the perfect item when shopping their site. I shopped, picked out & received a beautiful hand painted garlic-spice jar that is hand painted from Spain. Let me share about my shopping experience & their gift items at Uncommon Goods; plus my new hand painted garlic jar, which is a perfect for me or as a gift item.
First I’ll tell you about my garlic-spice jar. It arrived packaged in a big box the item is 7″x7″ fully wrapped *had more bubble wrap on top to ensure no breakage. I knew immediately it was from Uncommon Goods because they have a tape label on the box (took photo after opening). When I unwrapped it I was so delighted as it made it here safe & is the perfect size for storing the garlic & dried herbs from my garden. It is almost as tall as my crock pot so it’s size is generous 7″ x 7″ size which will hold more than my one garlic clove container I used to have. I love it not only for that fact but, the fact that it is one of a kind being hand painted, which makes it unique. The quality is excellent!
Now on to a few more close ups to give you a better look at the unique hand painted spice jar from Spain, along with the details:
Manufactured in the historic Cruz family shop in Toledo, Spain, each piece is signed by its artisan in a time-honored tradition that spans generations. Due to its handmade nature, each is one-of-a-kind and will vary. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t love such a lovely & unique gift item.
- Item ID: 19947
- Materials: ceramic
- 7″ dia. x 7″ H
- Hand-washing recommended
I decided to keep it near my stove, crock pot & microwave. It only makes sense as that is where I do most of my food prep & it will be easy to access. I would love to add the Sangria pitcher & olive dish, which are also hand painted, lets just say I am adding those to my wish list.
Uncommon Goods is easy to navigate for all your unique gift item needs. I love that if you are searching for something it has the interface to show what you already looked at with an image nearby (bottom left in image below) so if you change your mind & want a particular item previously viewed with a click of an image your back at it & you can easily add it to your basket.
Not only that but they have suggestions posted in a page called Curator’s Favorites. I also like the fact that Uncommon Goods has many reviews for many of their items. Personally I like to read a few reviews, especially if I am on the fence about an item.
The categories for shopping make it really simple when looking for a gift perfect for a special occasion like someones birthday, bridal showers, weddings, Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. Let’s say Father’s Day you would just go to the category for him. You would be taken to a page like this. I found the perfect Mother’s day gift for me a Buddha Bowl latte cup, the matching olive plate & Sangria pitcher shown above now I just have to share my wish list. You can find categories for home & garden, dining & entertaining, kids & more.
