Our thoughts on “Crochet Snails & Mushroom Sprites”

The crochet book is laid out in a unique yet thoughtful way, allowing you to pick and choose the right patterns and combinations to create mushrooms or snails. The images and glossary are both beneficial (helpful). With that said, you have to plan what to do and see the page where the instructions are. Then follow along.

As a true beginner, I went to YouTube to help me make certain crochet stitches that I hadn't learned yet. I am a visual learner, and it helps to see someone actually doing the new (to me) stitches. I think it would be beneficial to have crochet basics down.

Example: For me, it's hard to count stitches when I am focused on learning the stitch. I hope that makes sense. Also, I tend to get frustrated, as normally I pick things up pretty quickly, but with crochet, there is a learning curve. With that said, I made a little hood for the mushrooms, and it wasn't as cute as the photos due to my skill set. Uneven stitches…lol

Sammie is more advanced with crocheting. She looks forward to trying to make several of the amigurumi patterns from the book. But since she just moved, we will have to wait and update this later.

The book is beautiful! The images and step-by-step images are helpful. Anyone with crochet basics down will love this book! The crochet patterns are so cute!

The forest creatures of chrochet Mushroom Sprites and their chrochet Snail companions are perfect for any fairy themes, forest themes, and creative settings you want to add them to when completed. If you are into cottage core and whimsy these crochet patterns are for you! I can't wait to have one sitting in my craft room on a shelf!

This craft book, or making crocheted characters, would make a unique handmade gift item for Christmas, too.
