Project Runway Season 10
Dear Creatives, Being smitten with fashion illustration & a love of sewing leads to dreams of fashion design. Yes, I know I will never be the best seamstress, can only dream about designing any sort of clothing & would be over the top to have a design / craft studio of any kind outside my home. Where am I going with this you ask? Living vicariously through designers going after their dreams on Fashion Runway! Yes it is that time again to watch the newest designers to hit the contest circuit on Season 10 Fashion Runway which premiers July 19th on MyLifetime 9.8 Central time.
I’ll either be ironing fabric while viewing or watching intently 16 designers who are up for the challenge of making the cut or being cut. Of course there is always a favorite style & soon to be favorite designer to root for! Have you checked out the portfolios? bios? & you already know the judges if you have seen seasons past, but if not you can check out all the behind the scenes right here for Project Runway Season 10 Oh, yes there is even an app for that on iTunes! & it is free.
Of course I set my sights on a few designers already to keep my eye on & here is a direct link to Melissa Fleis casting session.
I love her use of leather, fabrics & sleek black styling. Not to mention she is from my hometown of the SF bay area.
Another designer that caught my eye was Sonja Williams. Her use of colors, ethic inspirations & beautiful use of fabrics, but don’t stop there!
