A delicious and easy Spiced Apple Cider Recipe. You can easily double or triple to suit your needs.
4Cupsof Apple Cider
A small orangequartered
One cinnamon Stick
2tablespoonsof brown sugar
1/2tspof whole allspice
1/2tspof whole cloves
1/4tspof black peppercorn
A tiny pinch of nutmeg
For an alcoholic versionabout 4-6 ounces of bourbon
Cinnamon Sticks for garnishoptional
Heat the apple cider in a saucepan on medium-low heat till all of the brown sugar dissolves, while stirring from time to time.
Once the sugar has dissolved, bring the heat down and add the orange pieces along with the spices.
Cover and let it simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes.
Strain the hot cider to catch all the spices. Serve in mugs or jars. Garnish with a cinnamon stick. Store leftover in a air-tight container for up to 2 days in the fridge.
For the alcoholic version - Pour the hot apple cider into mugs and top it off with bourbon.
