A quick and easy way to make delicious homemade granola that everyone can enjoy. Adapt the recipe with your favorite dried fruits and nuts.
Put your favorite ingredients into a bowl ours include oats, chopped apricots, dried cranberries, dried blueberries.
Next add in your favorite nuts and seeds. We love pecans, seeded sunflower seeds and almonds. But, you can also use walnuts and any other items you and your family like.
Then you'll add brown sugar, cinnamon, coconut oil, honey and vanilla and stir the mixture well.
Pour in onto your Silpat or other non stick baking mat. Slip it into the oven baking at 350 degrees for 15 minutes then take it out stir ingredients and bake another 10-15 minutes. You'll need to check on the final bake as ovens and altitude will vary finish time.
You don't want to over cook the granola. The oats will be a golden color.
Let the mix cool completely. Then store in a storage container. I prefer using glass storage containers.

Other options: dried cherries, dried pineapple, dried mango, pumpkin seeds, dried coconut, chocolate chips.
