Today’s recipe is enchilada salsa verde which is basically homemade green enchilada sauce for making enchiladas. It’s super easy to make and if you love Mexican food then this recipe is worth trying when you can take the extra steps to cook it vs. using a can of green sauce. Honestly I’ve wanted to try to make homemade enchilada sauce for the longest time. It’s just I never took the time to pick up tomatillos. It doesn’t take long either. I’ll be making it with my new blender!

Did I mention I broke my blender glass on my 20 year old blender a while back? It was a glass carafe. I decided not to even try to replace it. It had a good run, may it rest in peace. I didn’t want to go out and just get any blender. But, then I had the opportunity to try the Dynablend by Tribec. Rather than just un-box my new kitchen appliance I thought I’d create today’s recipe with it to share with you. Of course I’ll be adding my honest kitchen appliance reviews for this Dynablend blender.

I took the tomatillos out of the pot, let it cool a little. I also reserved some of the water for thinning the sauce. Add tomatillos to blender and about a half cup of water from the pot.

And blend. I used the 60 second combo button on low. Seriously I didn’t even have to turn up the speed. This has 1.1 horsepower!

Pouring Homemade Green Enchilada Sauce into a pan

Pour it in a pan. I used my pan that I cooked my chicken in. No need to rinse a little residue of oils and herbs if your making your enchiladas but, you can if you like. When your ready for the next step warm it up for dipping and rolling your tortillas. If it’s too thick you can thin it with half cup more of the tomatillo water.

Let me share a few thoughts about my new Dynablend blender. First off this kitchen appliance reviews comes with a 10 year Warrenty!! I’ve used the blender to make watermelon drinks. It seriously was delicious. No juicer needed! I’ve made a yummy smoothie recipes. Ice gets taken care of with no problems. My old blender didn’t do nearly as good a job. It took forever to blend ice for summer drinks. Not with this one. This sauce was done in a matter of minutes. I’ll be sharing those other recipes soon.

The blender is very easy to use. The 3 Settings are fine with a variable speed dial. Cleaning is easy. Note: It’s recommended you clean the blender prior to using due to high speed motor, which can cause an odd smell. I ran it several times according to the instructions it came with, until the smell went away! I had no problems with smell after that. The blender is available on Amazon but, I’m surprised at the review ratings as I have had no problems since receiving it a few weeks ago. An older model has lots of excellent reviews.
